The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines is a beginner-to-intermediate qualification designed for wine enthusiasts and industry professionals seeking a deeper understanding of the world of wine. The course explores the principal and regionally important grape varieties, major wine regions, and the fundamentals of viticulture and winemaking, while developing students’ ability to taste and describe wines using the WSET Level 2 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine® (SAT). There are no formal prerequisites, although some students find it helpful to complete Level 1 first.
