Let’s Work Together

My favourite thing about wine is often the people that make it. I work with a small group of amazing winegrowers that embody a philosophy of life and wine that resonates with me. If you are interested in having your wines represented in Manitoba or you would like help writing copy for your website or promotional materials, reach out, let’s chat.

Davide operates a small winery in the hills of Nanto, a small village in the province of Vicenza, on the eastern side of Colli Berici. Davide’s wines feature autocothynous and traditional varieties that are farmed organically and crafted with minimal intervention in the winery. Andrea worked with Davide to create the text available on his website and wine labels.

Born and bred in the heart of the Barossa Valley, Rock (Pete) of Wisdom (Sofi) serves more than 15 years of experience in every drop of its delicate range of wines.

Rock of Wisdom brings drinkability to the fore, and its wines are made for people to drink, not discuss – when you open a bottle, you’ll savour the beautiful, softer side of the Barossa coupled with minimal intervention and an approachable ethos.

Rock of Wisdom can be both the driver and the passenger of a meal, event, or intimate gathering, connecting people in the same subtle way that the flavours wash across your palate.

Wise people say that all wines should be tasted. Wiser people say that some wines should be sipped. Wisdom says for others, drink the whole bottle. We are that bottle.

La Tordera was founded in the hills of Valdobbiadene, the heart of the Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG production area, between Venice and the Dolomites.

Always on the lookout for innovation, but never forgetting our bond with their land and its traditions, the winery prefers an ever more “green” approach to its winemaking, in harmony with the environment, looking back to the past and forward to the future.

The name of the winery comes from a rolling hill in the Cartizze area. In ancient times, the hill was home to a bird snare called Tordera; in fact, in autumn, thrushes flew from the nearby mountains looking for food among the rows of vines. Thanks to this tradition, this high ground started being called Tordera. Although the snare no longer exists, the name has remained in the collective memory.

This is where the roots of the family and the winery started to grow, this is where La Tordera began.

The Joaquin brand is also defined by the winery’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the expressive power of its wines through extended elevage, in which the hand of man accompanies and guides the wines on their journey but never chooses the ultimate path.  Every year each unique vineyard parcel is vinified separately to create a collection of singular wines that are authentic expressions of their place of origin. On average, 5500 bottles of each idiosyncratic label are produced per year.
